Election Day is upon us, and the races that have dominated the news are about to be decided.
Over the weekend, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) stepped out to boost the profile of Minneapolis mayoral candidate Omar Fateh, who shares her Somalian heritage and desire to defund the police. While Omar is something of a young star in the Democratic Party, it appears that even her star power isn’t enough to pull in more than a meager crowd of supporters ahead of election day.

Ilhan Omar only got 50 people to show up for her Somalian friend running for mayor of Minneapolis..

If the crowd in the above video is any indication, it seems like the mayoral race is far from being decided.

This is what happens when you support radical socialism, want to defund the police, and hate our country!

All that matters is how many ballots they can stuff, not if their support is real or not. https://t.co/117g2FzXYN

Lmao nobody in Minnesota wants these two in power.
Only the fake refugees that Obama imported into MN support these two foreign communists. https://t.co/zfFOlUXL12

Fifty people? Sis…that’s not a rally, that’s a parent-teacher conference turnout.

I think I heard the party dropped to a 16% approval rate. This demonstrates well as to why.

This comes after President Donald Trump addressed Omar in a Truth Social post, saying she should “go back” to Somalia after a video of her bragging about her love of the country began going viral on social media.
Watch:
Omar dismissed any conversation around her citizenship status and calls for her to return to Somalia.
“I have no worry, I don’t know how they’d take away my citizenship and like deport me,” she said. “But I don’t even know, like, why that’s such a scary threat. Like I’m not the 8-year-old who escaped war anymore. I’m grown, my kids are grown. Like, I could go live wherever I want if I wanted to. It’s a weird thing to wake up every single day to bring that into every single conversation, ‘we’re gonna deport Ilhan.’”
