Maher giddy over Dem running against Biden: ‘He’s Jewish. He’s 54! Did I mention he’s 54?’

Liberal comedian Bill Maher couldn’t contain his joy Friday after a congressional Democrat declared his candidacy against President Joe Biden.

As previously reported, Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips, a Democrat, formally launched a presidential campaign against Biden on Friday, prompting rage from the president’s groupies but joy from dissident Democrats like Maher.

“Dean Phillips, he’s from Minnesota. He’s Jewish. He’s 54! Did I mention he’s 54?” Maher said excitedly this Friday as he told his “Real Time” audience about Phillips, according to Fox News.

“He loves Biden. He says exactly what I say: He did a great job, but don’t do it again. Self-made millionaire, the family’s in the organic vodka business. Dean Phillips, I’m getting behind him for president of the United States. How about you?” he added.

After some pushback from far-left Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov, a pro-Biden Democrat, Maher doubled down on his pro-Phillips stance.

“I love Dean Phillips because nobody knows who the f–k he is, and that’s good! You know what I know about him? He’s 54 and he’s got a ‘D’ next to his name. He’s already got half the votes and he doesn’t have any of the baggage of the other guys,” Maher said.

His remarks come about a month after he first publicly indicated during a discussion with Democrat Party strategist James Carville that he’s not really feeling Biden’s reelection campaign.

“I think we’re on the same page with Biden,” he told Carville at the time. “Did a great service but whereas in 2020 maybe he was the only one who could have beaten Trump, I think now he’s the only one who will lose to him,” he said.

“He did great not just because he beat Trump, but, you know, a lot of stuff he did- Afghanistan, Ukraine he handled right, everybody else’s economy was worse than ours after the pandemic. These are some pretty big things,” he continued.

“But he will lose because, at some point, perception becomes reality. And look, do I think he can do the job? Absolutely. Government, as you well know better than anybody, is done in small rooms like the Oval Office, where people are talking quietly and decisions are made. I think he still can do that fine. He cannot run for president. He’ll look bad in the debates…. I think, going to lose,” Maher concluded.

The problem is that the current president’s devoted groupies refuse to be honest about his reelection chances. To hear them tell it, Biden is the best thing to happen to America since sliced bread, and there’s zero chance of him losing to Trump.

In reality, polling averages maintained by RealClearPolitics currently show Trump ahead of Biden by an average of nearly one full percentage point.

But when Phillips tried pointing this out on X by quoting Carville, he (and Carville) got slammed into smithereens by the president’s delusional groupies.

Look:

Biden’s groupies have also accused Phillips of endangering democracy because to them, someone running against dictator President Biden is the ultimate act of authoritarianism and tyranny. Uh-huh…
