Mamdani’s reason for requiring 2 forms of ID to shovel snow is off-the-charts!

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s attempt to explain away a hypocritical snow shoveling ad is a work of art.

Democrats have been bending over backward lately to convince Americans that requiring photo ID to vote is somehow disenfranchising for minorities and, therefore, the worst idea in the world. If they were consistent in their belief, they might have some room to make that argument, but critics have pointed to Mamdani’s own city to prove that leftists are hypocrites.

Specifically, those volunteering to shovel snow in NYC would have to present two forms of identification.

Naturally, people had some questions about this. Like, why is it more difficult to register as a snow shoveler than it is to influence the future of the United States?

Don’t worry, Mamdani has an answer.

“Well, here in New York City, we follow the law, and it’s federal law to require certain forms of identification in order for someone to actually be paid for this kind of a job. And so that’s why we’re asking for two forms of identification,” the mayor said. “It’s a longstanding city program, it’s a longstanding city policy.”
