A 38-year-old man was arrested at Trump National Golf Course in Los Angeles days before a visit from the president.
Jeanine John Taele was apprehended by authorities after federal agents noticed him taking photos and videos of the area and appearing to keep an eye on security-planning activities. While this behavior might have been easy to explain away on its own, additional details are going to be a bit harder to spin.
“When deputies assigned to the Lomita Sheriff’s Station first made contact with Taele, they determined he was being investigated for a 2025 robbery by the El Segundo Police Department — he was then detained,” The New York Post reports.
A man allegedly armed with a pistol was arrested after he was seen taking photos and videos of the Trump National Golf Club grounds in Los Angeles County over the weekend, authorities announced on Tuesday.

That’s when a pat-down allegedly revealed the man was carrying a “16-round magazine containing hollow-point ammunition” in his pocket. Upon searching his vehicle in the parking lot, police reportedly found “a loaded pistol with a round chambered” and additional ammunition and magazines.
But it didn’t end there. A search of the man’s home also revealed several noteworthy items, including an “AR platform rifle, two radio signal devices, a 1911 .45 caliber pistol, an AR platform upper receiver, body armor, high-capacity magazines, bulk pistol and rifle ammunition, and multiple notebooks containing concerning statements.”
On Tuesday, Taele was charged with second-degree robbery in connection with his 2025 case, carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, possession of a short-barreled rifle or shotgun, and manufacturing, importing, keeping for sale, giving or receiving a large-capacity magazine. He has pleaded not guilty and bail was set at $250,000.

“illegally modified AR platform rifle,” Unless it’s a machine gun.. it’s probably not illegal.
Glad they stopped it anyways.

But if the civilians can’t have them of course a criminal would follow the law right? Ohhh never mind just make the public less safe and criminals get the advantage.

🙏 Glad to hear they caught him before he could do any harm. Prayers to all who protect, prayers to POTUS, his family and the whole Trump Administration 🇺🇲
