Man in viral ‘Quality Learing Center’ video says he’s suing Walz over rampant fraud

Independent reporter Nick Shirley and his research associate returned to the Minneapolis daycare center featured in a viral video that exploded across social media on Christmas weekend, drawing more attention to the widespread fraud that has taken place under Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

As the Democrat-controlled mainstream media circled the wagons to defend Walz and the Somali scammers, Shirley and “David” showed up at the Nicollet Avenue location on Tuesday, clad in matching hoodie sweatshirts reading “Quality Learing Center” in reference to the ridiculous spelling error on the building’s sign and emblazoned with “1-800 FRAUD.”

“WE OUT HERE LEARING AND STOPPING FRAUD,” wrote Shirley in a post to X.

To say that Shirley’s viral video caused a stir is an understatement, coming amid near-daily revelations of the Somali community’s brazen scamming in Minnesota, with one federal prosecutor describing the looting spree as “industrial-scale fraud” with more than 90 people already facing charges for schemes that have fleeced the taxpayers out of billions of dollars.

The duo’s Tuesday visit comes after the manager of the “Quality Learing Center” claimed that Shirley’s video was misleading and that it took place outside of the normal operating hours and falsely suggested that the business wasn’t active.

“David” also announced that he is suing Walz, the two-time governor and the Democrats’ 2024 vice presidential nominee.

“I filed a formal criminal complaint against Tim Walz for violating Minnesota Statute 3.971, Subdivision 9,” he said, noting that he had filed the complaint weeks ago.

“So there’s an investigation ongoing, and I think Tim’s gonna have a bad day, and he deserves it, because he allowed this fraud, because he wanted the voting bloc that the Somalis represent, because they all vote in a bloc, and it’s 100,000, 150,000, who knows how many?” David added.

“But it’s so bad now that when we go to a facility, they’re already screaming ‘Nick Shirley! Nick Shirley! Nick Shirley!” He said, suggesting that the alarm has been sounded that there’s actual journalism going on.

“The infamous Quality LEARING Center is caught in more lies as they received $1.9 Million this year in 2025 and were shut down a week ago according to the Children Commissioner yet they continue to ‘operate’ to try and save face as they have been caught,” Shirley said in another post to X, sharing the video of their second visit to the alleged daycare center.

Shirley also posted that the “Quality Learing Center” shirts that the two intrepid investigators were sporting are available for purchase and that the funds raised will go toward future videos as well as for protection.

“Quality Learning Center is a massive fraud so obvious they couldn’t even spell learning correctly. Remember this moment in history, continue learing and help support citizen journalism. These are high-quality hoodies and fit true to size. I am wearing an XL for reference. All purchases will go to future videos, exposing fraud and keeping me and David safe,” states the Shirley Defense website.
