Man of the people! Obamas vacationed on Steven Spielberg’s $250M superyacht off Italian coast

As hundreds of thousands gathered to mourn the loss of Charlie Kirk, the Obamas couldn’t have been in a more tone-deaf location.

While it’s doubtful that anyone expected former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama to join the memorial service, there is something disturbing about seeing them on a $250 million superyacht on the Italian Riviera while Americans gather to mourn the slain conservative political activist.

Look:

According to the New York Post, the pair hopped on the 357-foot luxury vessel, owned by director Steven Spielberg, and were seen living it up as the country they once led suffers the effects of what many believe was a politically-motivated murder.

“Photos show former first lady Michelle Obama, decked out in a Canadian tuxedo, greeted with a bear hug by the Academy Award-winning ‘Jaws’ director as she arrived Friday afternoon, enjoying dinner on board,” the outlet reported. “She was joined for the maritime excursion the following evening by former President Barack Obama, who arrived around 10 p.m. Saturday with a full entourage in tow, complete with escorts from Italian intelligence agency DIGOS, diplomatic vehicles, bomb-sniffing dogs and the Italian military police force, the carabinieri.”

On Sunday, as Americans gathered in Arizona for a massive tribute to Kirk’s life and legacy, the Obamas were photographed again.

“They were both spotted again on Sunday, having spent the night sheltering from rough seas on the behemoth watercraft, which was docked in the stunning harbor of Portofino. They had breakfast on the boat, then went to lunch at Punta Chiappa near Camogli.”

X users had a lot to say about the lavish excursion:
