Man who recorded sub-slinging DOJ staffer dishes on his bizarre behavior

The man who captured on video the assault on a federal agent by a Justice Department employee spoke about the “ruckus” the man was causing before he turned a Subway sandwich into a weapon.

“In the beginning, there was a bunch of ruckus. I seen this guy walk across the street saying ‘these guys are fascists’ and everything,” Cortez Dargin, 28, told the New York Post. “Then he was trying to get our attention. Like he came directly towards us.”

Sean Charles Dunn, 37, is the man he is referring to — Dunn was promptly fired for his alleged felonious assault after being identified as a DOJ employee.

Dargin, a D.C. native, told the newspaper that Dunn seemed to be drunk and asked about the federal vehicles parked in the street.

“He asked me, ‘What car did the feds pull up in?’ and I said ‘I dunno.’ He goes up to the car and I thought he was gonna do something to the car,” he said.

“It was mostly for him because, like, ‘You were really drunk. When you see this video, when you sober up, you’re gonna be like whoa,’” Dargin said of the footage he took.

It was at this point that Dunn threw the footlong sandwich heavy with banana peppers at the federal agent. Dargin said some of the agents laughed at the weak attack.

“They were learning the area and this is like your first day of training and you get a sandwich thrown at you,” he said in disbelief.

“He ran down the street and he like cut it behind some buildings and disappeared,” Dargin said of Dunn, after he launched the sub. “The craziest thing to me was the posture — the whole body movement — I’ve never seen nobody move like that. He moved like a little lizard or something.”

To the surprise of few, Dunn was reportedly a Biden appointee:
