Mark Levin in denial about reported Trump-Iran deal

A report about the U.S. and Iran potentially reaching a deal that could end the war was labeled as “largely fake” by conservative pundit Mark Levin.

The radio host and Fox News show host expressed his doubts about a possible agreement between U.S. and Iranian officials, as reported by Axios on Wednesday.

“Among other provisions, the deal would involve Iran committing to a moratorium on nuclear enrichment, the U.S. agreeing to lift its sanctions and release billions in frozen Iranian funds, and both sides lifting restrictions around transit through the Strait of Hormuz,” the report noted on the “memorandum of understanding” to end the war.

“Many of the terms laid out in the memo would be contingent on a final agreement being reached, leaving the possibility of renewed war or an extended limbo in which the hot war has stopped but nothing is truly resolved,” it continued.

Levin, who has been vocal in his support for the U.S. confrontation with Iran, reacted on X.

“I have to believe the Axios report is largely fake,” he wrote. “If the Axios report is close to accurate, the Iranian regime will survive, the Iranian people will face even more extensive brutality, and the Israeli government could fall in the October election. A disastrous result.”

“And here at home, despite all the blather about exit ramps and deals as the best political outcome for the president and Republicans, the opposite is true,” Levin contended, adding that President Donald Trump’s critics, like “the Democrats, the media, and the isolationists will declare the operation a failure.”

“I start from the proposition that terrorists lie and cheat, that these terrorists have lied and cheated for 47 years, and that they have no intention of changing based on their stated Islamist ideology,” Levin continued. “I also know that future presidents will not take military action to enforce an agreement, based on our past history and internal opposition, which will only grow worse given the evolving nature of the Democrat Party and the influences of the Marxists-Islamists.”

While Levin’s vocal pro-war comments have earned him plenty of criticism, the staunch Trump ally found some agreement with social media users on his latest views.
