Fox News host Mark Levin tore into the Biden Justice Department which he said is “destroying America” with its persecution of former President Donald J. Trump and the constant flow of leaks that have led to a media lynching of the 2024 GOP frontrunner in the court of public opinion before he even stands trial on charges brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith.
On Sunday’s edition of “Life, Liberty, and Levin,” the author and former chief of staff for Attorney General Ed Meese assailed the rogue agency which has burned down the institution’s reputation as well as stomped on longstanding norms and traditions in its relentless pursuit of Trump, who the Democrats controlling the nation’s federal law enforcement apparatus are determined to destroy using any means necessary.
Levin went scorched earth on Attorney General Merrick Garland’s weaponizing of the DOJ in a blistering opening monologue that ran for 15 minutes, telling viewers that the “back of the Department of Justice” needs to be “broken.”
“The Department of Justice has become the rogue operation of the federal government under Joe Biden and his attorney general Merrick Garland,” Levin began. “It is controlled by the Democrat Party and the radical left.”

“This department is destroying America,” he added. “It’s destroying the 2024 election. It’s violating every norm, every tradition, everything it inherited to ensure that that department could be trustworthy and could be reliable but it has criminalized politics,” he said. “And I want to say this. If we don’t break the back of the Department of Justice, and I will explain what I mean in a moment, it will destroy this country and we won’t be able to claw our way back.”
He then displayed media headlines from CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, all citing anonymous sources with information that undermines Trump’s ability to defend himself.
“Who do these leaks help? Do they help Donald Trump? Do they help a single witness? It’s the federal government. It is the Biden Department of Justice. It is the Democrat Party’s Department of Justice that’s interfering in the election,” he said.
“Look at this! You see this?! These are the leaks! From grand juries to witnesses to Mar-a –Lago to the nature of the classified documents,” he added. “Leak after leak after leak!”
He said that the “pattern of leaks” not only violates Trump’s 5th and 6th Amendment rights but also serves to contaminate the jury pool for his upcoming trials.
“All roads go through the Department of Justice. All roads go through Jack Smith‘s office, the special counsel,” he said. “Now the Trump lawyers need to wake the hell up to do something about this.”

“If we don’t push back against this tyranny it’s going to devour us,” Levin concluded. “It’s going to consume us. I’m not overstating the case. I’m speaking as somebody who has over 40 years experience in the law… I know tyranny when I see it.”
