White House deputy chief of staff for policy and Homeland Security advisor Stephen Miller praised President Donald J. Trump’s appearance at the World Economic Forum as a “masterclass in diplomacy” for serving up the truth to Europe without the usual sugarcoating.
The leader of the free world traveled to Davos, Switzerland, this week, where he delivered a Wednesday speech to the annual gathering of globalists, laying it out to European leaders about the consequences of their misguided policies and making the case for a U.S. military presence in Greenland.
Miller appeared on Friday’s edition of “Hannity” on Fox News, where he lauded Trump’s speech, giving his boss a rave review for a job well done.
.@StephenM says @POTUS’ trip to Davos was a “masterclass” in diplomacy and statesmanship:

“You saw a masterclass, a true, amazing masterclass in diplomacy, statesmanship, leadership in Davos this week with President Trump,” Miller told host Sean Hannity. “His critique of Europe in his Davos speech was one of the most important statements any American president has made about that continent in memory.”
“Europe has slowly been killing itself,” he continued. “Killing itself by strangling its energy supply through regulation, making it reliant on non-functioning green energy and foreign countries. Europe has been killing itself with regulation. Europe has been killing itself with reckless migration policies, and Europe has been killing itself for years by not investing in its own militaries, using the United States to subsidize its defense instead of raising its own armies, instead of producing its own capabilities.”
“He got Europe to finally commit, NATO to finally commit to 5 percent of GDP on defense, something that presidents have been trying to do,” Miller noted. “They’ve been trying to get NATO to 2 percent for decades. President Trump got them to 5 percent; nobody thought it was possible. He did it.”
“You mention Greenland,” he told the host. “Greenland is essential to America’s national security. It’s essentially as President Trump said for global security, and now through the art of the deal, the United States has everything that it wants and everything it needs at no charge on Greenland, so that we can protect America and we can protect the world.”
.@POTUS: “It’s the United States alone that can protect this giant mass of land…That’s the reason I am seeking immediate negotiations to once again discuss the acquisition of Greenland…This would not be a threat to NATO—this would greatly enhance the security of the entire… https://t.co/1v8MQCupLw pic.twitter.com/PtTaCCpsNM

“President Donald J. Trump commanded the stage this morning at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, delivering a bold address that reaffirmed America’s leadership on the global stage and charted a decisive path forward for Western nations,” the White House said of Trump’s “masterclass” in a statement posted to its website, highlighting the key points of his bold vision.
