‘Me and you’: Lawrence Jones challenges ‘dishonest’ DNC chair to a debate over the term ‘colored’

Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison was raked over the coals after a dishonest take about Vice President Kamala Harris.

Harrison set off the frothing race-baiters in his party after pearl-clutching over comments made by Fox News host Brian Kilmeade on Wednesday. Having a meltdown over the “racism and misogyny,” the DNC chair melted down on social media as he claimed Kilmeade had used the word “colored” when discussing Harris and a planned speaking event.

In a “Fox & Friends” segment on Wednesday, the panel was weighing in on the decision by Harris to attend a previously scheduled event at the historically black Zeta Phi Beta sorority’s “Grand Boule” in Indianapolis. Harris, the now-presumptive Democrat nominee following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race, opted to focus on her campaign with an address at the sorority event instead of attending Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress.

Harrison responded on X to a video clip posted of Kilmeade’s deserved criticism of Harris which sparked a flurry of reposts and outrage. The clip Harrison was reacting to was later deleted by the user who posted it.

“Eugene Daniels’ now deleted tweet completely misquoted and unnecessarily maligned Brian Kilmeade who clearly said college sorority,” Fox News pointed out in a statement.

“’A COLORED sorority’ … in 2024 on national tv… this clown thought it was correct and appropriate to use the term ‘colored’ to describe a distinguished and historic African American sorority,” Harrison spewed, though Kilmeade had used the word “college.”

“But what is even worse… a Black man sat a few feet away on that couch and didn’t correct him. He was as quiet as a church mouse,” the DNC chair added, taking a jab at co-host Lawrence Jones.

Unfortunately for Harrison, Kilmeade said nothing of the sort and the DNC chair proved Democrats have their ears tuned to a specific racist frequency, hearing everything in racist terms.

Jones was having none of it and fired back in his own comment on X.

“I’m the black man. You’re so damn dishonest. He said ‘college,'” he wrote.

“But that’s all you have. You know the bulls–t that you advocate for only brings death, poverty, and destruction to our black communities. You are welcome on the show anytime to debate it,” Jones added. “Me and you.”

Harrison was deservedly raked over the coals for inciting hatred in making his claim.
