Media elites don’t care that hype about ‘devastating’ FL measles outbreak was a panic-soaked load of BS

During the height of the COVID pandemic few “experts” fanned the national hysteria more than Dr. Leana Wen and she was at it again with a panic-soaked warning about an outbreak of measles in Florida that didn’t live up to her hype.

The former leader of Planned Parenthood was a fixture on CNN during the hellish COVID years, lecturing Americans about vaccines and mask mandates with a wicked grin plastered across her face, and in a recent column for the Washington Post, the Chinese-born fearmonger aimed at a familiar target: the Sunshine State.

“In Broward County, Fla., six students at a single elementary school recently became infected with measles. Two more cases of the highly infectious virus have been reported in the county,” Wen wrote. “Yet instead of following the well-established public health playbook to curb the outbreak, Florida Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo has done the unthinkable: telling parents they could defy health guidance and continue sending unvaccinated kids exposed to measles to school.”

“Her MMR vaccine-pimping op-ed however was just more of the same exaggeration from Dr. Wen with the handful of cases being successfully confined with no ‘devastating — and preventable — tragedy,'” and former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson pointed out the continuation of her miserable track record, asking when she plans to correct her ‘sad shriek’ of a screed.

“Hey @DrLeanaWen, do you plan to update this sad shriek of an article now that the Florida measles ‘outbreak’ – all nine cases of it – has ended with no more infections? (As far as I can tell, there were no hospitalizations and of course no deaths in this ‘devastating tragedy.’)” Berenson wrote on X.

“…the elite media couldn’t be more tiresome or predictable. Measles cluster among schoolkids in Florida last month, cue the screaming about @GovRonDeSantis. Cluster among migrants in Chicago this week (a TRULY preventable outbreak, we chose to let them in), no one says a word,” he wrote in a second post on Wen’s column.

Others opined on Dr. Wen’s lack of credibility with critical thinkers who don’t watch CNN or read the WaPo.
