Media shills are engaged in full damage control mode as they desperately try to spin bombshell allegations against the Southern Poverty Law Center.
In a nutshell, the SPLC has been accused of funding and bolstering racism and extremist groups it had claimed to be fighting.
CNN put it another way in an ill-fated post on X, saying the SPLC is under federal investigation for “infiltrating” white supremacist and extremist groups:
Southern Poverty Law Center indicted in federal court over alleged use of paid informants to infiltrate white supremacist and other extremist groupshttps://t.co/qQ70N2kzap

CNN was promptly slammed for its shameless spin:
They didn’t infiltrate anything, THEY FUNDED IT.

FACTS: They weren’t gathering intel; they paid these hate groups to stoke racial hatred and commit crimes, then churned out “reports” to fuel the Democrats’ fake “right-wing violence” narrative in Congress.

But not everyone was in disagreement. A Georgia Recorder columnist, Jay Booker, milked CNN’s narrative to ask if it’s now a federal crime to infiltrate white supremacist groups.
“White supremacist groups are a protected class under this administration?” he either deceitfully or cluelessly asked.
So … it’s now a federal crime to infiltrate and expose white supremacist groups?
White supremacist groups are a protected class under this administration? https://t.co/Rf08VONUkp— Jay Bookman (@jaysbookman) April 21, 2026
Bookman took an online beating for his remarks, but remained remarkably defiant while garnering over 12K likes for his ridiculous post.
Proving that ought to be interesting.

The fact that I call it a bullshit indictment doesn’t mean I’m afraid of a jury returning a guilty verdict.
It means I’m confident that they won’t. That’s what makes it bullshit.— Jay Bookman (@jaysbookman) April 22, 2026
Someone ought to bookmark that Bookman post for safekeeping.
Well it’s a crime to tell people you are fighting racism while you are funding it (fraud), setting up shell corporations to make the payments (money laundering) and making false statements of federal banking forms. Hope that helps, Pookie.

how much were you paid to use the same messaging that every other paid mouthpiece posted?
or are you actually this impressionable (i.e. stupid), doing it for free in spite of the detailed indictment describing what is obviously illegal activity?

They weren’t charged with infiltrating and exposing a white supremacist group. They were charged with assorted fraud and money laundering based charges. Shouldn’t someone who claimed be a journalist be more honest and ethical than you are?
