Meghan McCain is in a fighting mood after being accused of “essentially joining the Trump train.”
It all started when journalist Rachel Janfaza tweeted that the presidential candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris was an “Obama moment” for many young voters.
“Hearing from a number of young voters (who were not old enough to vote in 2008, 2012, and in some cases even 2016) that the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris is their “Obama moment,” she wrote.

McCain retweeted the message, urging journos to “calm down.”
You guys have GOT to calm down. She has lower approval ratings than Biden and it’s been 48 hours since he stepped down. https://t.co/CnXRrKL2iU

Pretty standard sentiments, right?
Enter media pundit and former military intel collector Malcolm Nance, who accused McCain of betraying her own father’s memory.
“SHAMEFUL: Megan McCain betrays her father’s memory by essentially joining the Trump train. No honor. No class,” he retweeted.

This got McCain spitting mad, as one might expect.
“I’m a double hater voter. My Dad thought both Trump and Kamala were morons, there’s video footage of him saying so. Also – go f**k yourself,” she sniped.

X users chimed in on the verbal fistfight:
So you can vote 3rd party at least your dad wouldn’t vote Trump ever

Those were your father’s beliefs— make your own decisions.

I guarantee your father would support Kamala over Trump, though, and you know that.
Stop supporting a man who disrespected your father, he’d be disgusted.

This is my first time ever replying to one of your tweets, Meghan. BUT I literally spit coffee in my cat’s face when I read “also – gfy”

You know – she might be a public figure but that was a low blow. As retired military as well – I despise this political tactic. YOU have no honor for using it. Shameful. No honor – no class…

You’re amazing and I think you are in between a rock and a hard place b/c of who you are. I think your father would be very proud of you for voting for who you think will be best for our country… even if that is Trump.

you don’t have to hate who your dad hated.
i’d vote RFK if i didn’t like the big party options.
