Megyn Kelly calls for ‘accountability’ for those who ‘pushed’ Trump on Iran – begins listing names

As the Iran war continues to escalate with no viable off-ramps, Megyn Kelly is already calling for “accountability” for those whom she accused of having “pushed” President Donald J. Trump into attacking the Islamic Republic.

It’s now painfully obvious that those who pitched the idea that an operation to take out the ayatollah and top leadership would be a quick and easy endeavor that would lead to the Iranian people rising to take control of the government sold Trump a bill of goods with the war now entering week four, Iran lobbing missiles and drones at Israel and its neighbors daily, and the Strait of Hormuz shut down with U.S. ground troops now in the Middle East.

The conservative podcaster – who has been a vocal critic of the warmongers – has compiled a list of names of those whom she blames for the rapidly spiraling conflict that could crash the global economy, and Kelly shared it with her audience on Friday’s edition of “The Megyn Kelly Show” on SiriusXM.

“As this thing goes south, we need to know exactly who talked him into it and what representations were made to convince the president that this was a good idea. Who? Who specifically?” Kelly asked.

“The names we know are Bibi Netanyahu first and foremost. Lindsey Graham, equally to blame,” she continued, referring to the Israeli prime minister and the warmongering senator from South Carolina. “We know from the Wall Street Journal report that Mark Thiessen of Fox News and General Jack Keane were major advocates of the war. Ok, I like those guys, but they appear to have been very wrong that this was a good idea.”

“And we could keep going. Mark Levin, chief among them. He says now, ‘Oh, it wasn’t me.’ Every night, every night on Fox News out there urging the president to do this. And then he had a meeting with him in June, where we know, he denies it now, we know he pushed him for this,” Kelly added of the Fox News host with whom she has feuded.

“Ben Shapiro was out on his show every day pushing this war,” she said, adding the Daily Wire co-founder to the list. “Like, there were very prominent activists on the right who were practically frothing at the mouth for this thing, and now that it’s not only going poorly, but the president’s poll numbers are in a precipitous freefall, we’d love to see some accountability. Who? Who promised him what?”

Kelly also noted that Trump’s poll numbers are in “freefall” despite hyped polling that shows that self-identified “MAGA Republicans” nearly unanimously support the war on Iran, the larger electorate doesn’t.

Levin claims that he didn’t push Trump into war.

“I never lobbied the president. You guys keep putting that crap out there. I met with the president once at his request,” he told former National Counterterrorism Center director Joe Kent this week.

But many feel the shrieky volcanic host is a bald-faced liar who repeatedly lobbied the president to attack on his show and in person. He will also likely be among the first to turn on Trump if the war goes sideways, just like all the other neocons will, because, like with the Iraq debacle, it’s never their fault.
