Megyn Kelly tramples NBC, CBS News in July, draws over 30M YouTube views: ‘Traditional media is dead’

Megyn Kelly has all by her lonesome proven that NBC and CBS News are all but irrelevant, racking up over 30 million views in July on YouTube which was more than either channel had.

That includes ALL of their collective programming. SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show has literally trampled the mainstream media.

“According to audience figures highlighted by Kelly’s team for Semafor, Kelly’s show is now not only one of the most listened-to programs on SiriusXM, but it’s also one of the top ten podcasts in the country and its viewership is eclipsing that of some mainstream news outlets on YouTube,” Semafor reported.

“Kelly boasts that despite the fact that she only has six staffers, she has managed to get numbers that put her in the range of the accounts of legacy media outlets. The Megyn Kelly Show’s YouTube channel, which has 2.3 million subscribers, had 116.8 million views in July — more views than the official channels for NBC News (78 million) CBS News (83 million), Sky News (87 million), the BBC News (72 million) and CNBC (17 million),” the news outlet noted.

When Kelly left Fox News in 2017, many thought she was finished. Instead, she has gone on to become a podcast powerhouse and is arguably more successful than ever after a brief miscalculation in moving over to NBC. The network fired her in 2018 because she dared do a commentary on blackface and whiteface worn by children on Halloween. Since then, she launched her show in 2020 with an ever-growing fanbase and has never looked back after moving to SiriusXM less than a year later.

“On-camera is how people are used to getting their news from me, so it likely feels familiar,” Kelly told Semafor. “I am also half Italian, half Irish, so if you choose to watch the show, you will definitely glean something from the hand gestures and facial expressions that you might not always pick up on from listening alone. With the news what it is these days, sometimes an eye-roll, forehead slap, or pen-throw is absolutely required.”

Kelly is an unabashed conservative and will reportedly be supporting former President Trump in the upcoming election. But she still criticizes him when she feels it is warranted.

As for the left, they continue to attack Kelly non-stop, especially those such as unhinged Keith Olbermann, “Firstly, not a journalist Secondly, counting just YouTube? Go ask a grown-up why that’s wrong, child.”

Kelly has been a journalist for many years and views on YouTube are far more relevant among audiences currently than broadcast mainstream media.
