Melania Trump pulls off shimmering silver pants look at White House Governors Dinner

First Lady Melania Trump dazzled in silver at the White House Governors Dinner on Saturday.

Dozens of Democrats threatened to boycott the event over the possibility that some of their fellow members would be blocked from attending Friday’s National Governors Association, after President Trump rescinded the invitations of Maryland Governor Wes Moore and Colorado Governor Jared Polis before extending them again. Others chose to attend an alternative event rather than appear to support the president.

“Trump has made this whole thing a farce,” said Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, who opted to abstain.

But those who did attend got a reminder of the first lady’s modeling past as she stunned in shimmering silver pants and an elegant tie front top, matching her husband’s signature tuxedo.

The pair arrived hand-in-hand, and Trump kicked off the event with a speech addressing the “many, many friends and very competent people” in attendance.

“We’ve transformed stagnation into growth, weakness into strength and chaos into order, liberty and justice,” he said to the crowd.

War Department Secretary Pete Hegseth also prayed for the president while saying grace before the dinner.
