Melania Trump served her signature chic look as she received the traditional White House Christmas tree

First Lady Melania Trump served her signature chic look as she received the traditional White House Christmas tree.

The fashionable FLOTUS was decked out in a cream overcoat that covered bare legs, with elbow-length gloves in a deep red. The Manolo Blahnik heels, a tartan statement piece, completed the ensemble. She posed for photographs with the 25-foot tree, a concolor fir, which was delivered by horsedrawn carriage on Monday.

Watch:

The tree made the trek to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue all the way from Korson’s Tree Farms in Michigan after winning the opportunity to be the White House tree during the July National Christmas Tree Association contest. This competition allows the farmers who grow these trees to win a spot at the White House and the vice president’s residence during the holiday season. The delivered tree will be placed in the Blue Room and marks the beginning of the traditional Christmas season.

But just because a Christmas tree has been delivered doesn’t mean that the first family has forgotten about Thanksgiving. On Tuesday, President Donald Trump will perform the traditional pardoning of two turkeys, Gobble and Waddle, the lucky North Carolina turkeys.

“Last month, Melania launched the ‘Celebrating America’ ornament line on her website, consisting of ‘limited-edition, handcrafted Christmas ornaments,'” The Daily Mail wrote. “The decorations, which range between $75 to $90, are ‘designed to celebrate America and the upcoming 250th anniversary.'”
