Flabby filmmaker Michael Moore is on board with the anti-incumbent fervor that has fueled the socialist insurgency that is consuming the Democratic Party.
The Academy Award winner appeared on CNN, where he pumped his Michigan homeboy, Abdul El-Sayed, on Tuesday, the night of the Democratic primary, which would determine whether the Democratic Socialists can continue their recent roll and maintain momentum for the midterms and beyond.
The 72-year-old Flint native told CNN’s Laura Coates that he believes a full-blown turn to socialism is the ticket to Democrats regaining political power and that he would hit his knees and beg that the rebels can topple the feckless party establishment, which many have blamed for allowing President Donald J. Trump to win a second term.

“Does there require a change in the establishment and in the way things are done to effectuate the changes you want to see?” Coates asked of the “Bowling for Columbine” director who had described the Michigan primary as the “Mamdani moment in the Midwest.”
“If I could get on my knees and beg, it would be for exactly what you said, because we are not going to win the other way,” Moore responded. “We lost that way in 24; it’s not going to happen if we allow this to happen. We are in charge of this, and we need to get busy right now.”
Moore also suggested that El-Sayed’s criticism of Israel is an asset and that he and other Democratic voters are down with the Palestinian struggle and the party needs to be more like the Hasan Piker-endorsed firebrand than the bland establishment candidate.
“It’s not about electability, let me tell ya,” Moore raved. “I’ve known Dr. El-Sayed for many years; I worked on his campaign for governor in 2018. Boy, we would be so lucky if he were our senator, representing us, and standing up for the people who are dying, dying every day over there,” referring to Gaza where the Jewish state has been waging war against the Hamas terrorist organization.
“I will not support hacks,” he proclaimed, “hacks in the Democratic Party who have led us to this Waterloo.”
The “Fahrenheit 9/11” filmmaker also took a shot at his party’s 2024 leadership, former President Joe Biden and ex-veep Kamala Harris, who would be given the party’s nomination only to get shellacked by Trump in the election.
“All the young people in the 24 election are like ‘I don’t want to die, I’m not gonna die,’ and we’ve got a Democratic president in that year who could not think of anything but to give an Apartheid regime all the money they asked for to kill all the children they wanted to kill,” Moore said.
Moore’s appearance came as El-Sayed was locked in an unexpected dogfight with Rep. Haley Stevens instead of the runaway win that many had been predicting, a sign that the Democrat establishment isn’t as ripe for the picking as the leftists were hoping.
As of early Wednesday morning, El-Sayed was predicted to be the winner in a nail-biter, and if it holds, he will advance to the general election to face Republican former congressman Mike Rogers, who has received the “complete and total endorsement” of Trump.
