Mike Lee is taking names: ‘Schumer, McConnell, Johnson, Jeffries—the firm. They did this.’

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) has a history of calling out “The Firm™” on Capitol Hill and he took that to a whole new level in blasting the original 1,500-page pork-filled spending bill better known as the “Cramulous bill.”

“Schumer, McDonald, Johnson, Jeffries—the firm. They did this,” Lee said during an appearance on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime. “Okay, McDonald and Schumer cooked this up for the last 85 days in secret, dropped it on everybody Wednesday, and this is where we are.”

He is referring to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Speaker Mike Johnson, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

“Yes, it has failed. It’s failed miserably because the American people are awake,” he said of the bill that was ultimately squashed without a vote. “They have access to X, they have access to Watters’ World, they have access to information and to apps that will help quickly digest this information.”

“This does not work. It’s a historic moment. It’s fallen apart,” Lee continued. “As a result, somebody’s going to have to lose their job over this. I don’t think the Speaker is going to remain in power—that’s my prediction.”

Lee would describe Johnson as a longtime “friend” and a “good man,” but added, “He’s lost control of this. I don’t know how he can remain in power.”

As for who he would like to see replace Johnson, the GOP senator didn’t hold back.

“I’m not in the House, but if I’m correct in that — and I think I am — we need bold new leadership, outside leadership, and I think it needs to be a Doge Speaker. It needs to be either Vivek Ramaswamy or it needs to be Elon Musk,” Lee said.

“You’re officially nominating, right here on Jesse Watters’ Primetime, either Vivek or Elon to be House Speaker?” Watters chimed in. “It doesn’t have to be a politician, it could be anyone. Can they be speaker? Do they want that job?”

“I don’t know. Look, I’m a little bit skeptical. Elon is busy — he’s got 54 companies that he’s running and trying to get to the moon,” Lee replied. “I suspect Vivek is a little bit more open to it than Elon. I will take either one of them. Vivek, Elon, if you’re watching, please sign up. America needs you.”

It’s safe to say that if there is ever to be much-needed transformational change in Washington, D.C., now is the time and President-elect Donald J. Trump is the man.
