More woes for Cracker Barrel as ‘woke’ CEO’s logo revamp sparks uproar

Cracker Barrel continues to insult its loyal customers as it tries to give the restaurant chain a facelift no one asked for.

Fans of the country-themed restaurant chain were still seething about a remodel of the interiors when another change dropped, with the removal of the decades-old logo featuring a man sitting on a chair and leaning on a barrel. The revamped logo has only the name Cracker Barrel in brown letters over a gold background.

Somehow, Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Felss Masino believes fans love the new look and defended the changes to the iconic logo after customers were quite vocal about hating the interior modernization of some of the Tennessee-based restaurant chain’s locations.

“Honestly, the feedback’s been overwhelmingly positive that people like what we’re doing,” she told Good Morning America.

“Cracker Barrel needs to feel like the Cracker Barrel for today and for tomorrow — the things that you love are still there,” Masino claimed. “We need people to choose us, and we want people to choose us.”

In announcing the change to the logo, which has been around since 1977, Cracker Barrel said it “is now rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all.”

“Anchored in Cracker Barrel’s signature gold and brown tones, the updated visuals will appear across menus and marketing collateral, including the fifth evolution of the brand’s logo, which is now rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all,” the company said.

Just as the store redesign caused a social media uproar, anger over the logo change reverberated across Instagram and X as well, with many vowing to boycott until things are restored and the “woke” CEO is gone. Even Donald Trump Jr. weighed in, wondering “WTF is wrong with @CrackerBarrel??!”
