‘Morning Joe’ cohosts shredded as reactions pour in to groveling surrender to Trump

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were ripped on social media after they reportedly ran, tail between legs, to President-elect Donald Trump.

After revealing that they went to his Florida home to “meet personally” with the triumphant Republican after they spent years slandering him, the leftist duo was raked over the coals on X where they were rightly called out for their “shamelessness” and hypocrisy.

As reported, Scarborough and Brzezinski attempted to “restart communications” with the former and future president as they touted a “new approach” in media coverage of his impending administration.

“Joe and I went to Mar-a-Lago to meet personally with President-elect Trump. It was the first time we have seen him in seven years,” Brzezinski said on the air.

“It’s going to come as no surprise to anybody who watches this show — has watched it over the past year or over the past decade, that we didn’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of issues and we told him so,” her husband said.

“Joe and I realized it’s time to do something different and that starts with not only talking about Donald Trump but also talking with him,” Brzezinski added, trying to justify the move to viewers who have heard, ad nauseam, how evil they claimed the 45th president was.

“We are told that people like Trump are beyond the pale, that his supporters are Nazi-like domestic threats on the verge of violence at every moment,” journalist and author Mary Katharine Ham wrote in a scathing rebuke on X. “The elites’ changing on a dime when it’s convenient to them is part of the problem. Everyone can see you’re full of it and possibly need some help sorting out your feelings instead of lurching from signal to signal.”

“Hitler getting alot more meeting requests than I would’ve thought,” snarked CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings.

“This is beyond humiliating. Does NO ONE in the media see the need to do this, while ALSO admitting they were wrong, they read the room wrong, they were over-the-top, they were hyperbolic….sometimes for the mere fact we’re all wrong sometimes…..or was it for clicks & ratings?” wrote podcast host Greg Brady on X.

One other user noted: “Translation: ‘We need ratings.'”

The fact that Trump would agree to meet with the pair who called him, literally, Hitler said a lot about the man preparing to take the oath of office for a second time. But social media users on both sides of the aisle were not as kind to Scarborough and Brzezinski.

TDS-sufferer Keith Olbermann blasted Scarborough as “the worst person I’d ever encountered in this business,” while another wrote: “They are ingratiating themselves with the monster… And it will work for a while; that is until the leopards rip the flesh off their faces.”

Trump’s son Eric Trump dropped a truth bomb about the couple.

Others blasted the groveling MSNBC hosts on X as seen below, with raging left-winger Keith Olbermann having an especially hard time with their actions.
