U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) took issue with a reporter’s foreign accent during Friday’s White House press briefing, suggesting that American media should be given priority during the Q&A sessions.
New White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has only been on the job for a few days and is already getting rave reviews as competency has finally returned to the press room following the laughable tenure of DEI hire Karine Jean-Pierre, Joe Biden’s ridiculous spox and the historic first black lesbian immigrant to hold the job.
Leavitt has demonstrated a masterful command of the podium and unlike her predecessor, hasn’t had to rely on leafing through binders. On Friday, she was fielding questions about the deadly collision of a passenger jet and military helicopter at Reagan National Airport, a horrific accident that has been attributed to Biden and Barack Obama’s focus on DEI hiring.
Greene took to X to weigh in on a popular conservative influencer’s observation of Leavitt’s handling of a foreign reporter’s recitation of a Democrat talking point that the Trump administration’s hiring freeze would result in more fatal air accidents even though it doesn’t apply to the FAA.
Dear Lord these reporters haven’t got the memo yet.
Karoline Leavitt is not here to play around.
She was pressed about DEI in the aviation field and her answer was PERFECT!

.@PressSec is doing a wonderful job! Bringing sanity and common sense and throwing it in the faces of the nasty legacy media.
How about that accent from that reporter?
I think we need to throw out all the foreign press!
American media first! https://t.co/sWAqGZlvsP

I’d consider allowing a small percent to represent foreign news sources.

“When you are flying on an airplane with your loved ones, do you pray that your plane lands safely and gets you to your destination or do pray that your pilot has a certain skin color? I think we all know the answer to that question,” Leavitt said in her response to the woman with the apparent French accent who was quoted by the influencer in his post.
