U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) didn’t mince words when responding to testimony from Dr. Peter Marks before the House Oversight Committee’s select panel on the COVID-19 pandemic.
Marks, the Food and Drug Administration’s director of biologics evaluation and research, testified about the efficacy of vaccines, “It’s estimated in the United States about 3.2 million lives [were saved] and it’s estimated, globally, that COVID-19 vaccines saved over 14 million lives, conservatively.”
“I’m not a doctor, but I have a Ph.D. in recognizing bullshit when I hear it,” Greene said. “I’d like to point out to everyone that we knew early on — as a matter of fact, everyone knew early on that the people that were at risk of hospitalization and dying of COVID were those that were obese, had diabetes, were over the age of 65. “We also knew that children were at no risk.”

The GOP lawmaker accused Marks of rushing vaccine approval despite knowing about side effects that included myocarditis.
“This is from the Congressional Research Service about VAERS — all kinds of injuries: miscarriages, heart attacks, myocarditis, permanent disabilities, neurological problems, and it going on and on and on,” Greene said. “These are the reports from people being forced to take vaccines.”
Referring to her Democrat colleagues, Greene said, “Some people in here are trying to belittle these reports but these reports come from people — people that died, people that got injured.”
“And now you’ve authorized that children should receive these vaccines and even babies as young as six months old. That is shameful. That is shameful—I’m not asking you a question,” she added.
Greene shared statistics on the vaccine injuries before concluding, “People are dying. People are having heart attacks, strokes, blood clots and many other countries are dropping the COVID-19 vaccine and saying we shouldn’t give them to children.”
