MUSK vs AOC: ‘Nitwit alert!’

In a tale of genius billionaire versus “nitwit” Congresswoman, assessments of the border crisis from Elon Musk and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) stood wildly in opposition.

With a funding feud between President Joe Biden and Congress happening alongside record-breaking numbers of aliens streaming across the southern border in the month of December, exceeding 300,000, the crisis has shown no signs of being turned around under the current administration.

Over the weekend, as Musk dropped some dramatic figures to put the issue into perspective and reacted to others, comments from the congresswoman made during an October appearance on “The Daily Show” were making the rounds on social media.

In the clip, Ocasio-Cortez contended, “One of the biggest issues that we have when it comes to immigration is the fact that we have an undocumented population.”

“Now you can fix that by trying to build a wall or you can fix that by trying to document people and create a path to citizenship,” she argued. “And we’ll have folks that might say look at these systems, you know, that — our shelter systems have wait and things like that, but one of the reasons our public systems experience wait is because people don’t have a documented and reliable path to work and sustain themselves — just like all of our ancestors did and our grandparents and great-grandparents…”

The remarks prompted one user to wonder, “Is AOC suggesting we should import & document millions of unvetted migrants from all over the world including criminals, gangs, terrorists & Fentanyl & everything will be fine?”

“Nitwit alert!” wrote the user sharing the clip.

By comparison, the tech entrepreneur spoke to the severity of the issue with facts instead of feelings as he touched on a reality already being felt in major cities where only a fraction of the illegals entering the country had been bused exposing the unsustainability, not simply remedied through amnesty.

“The US construction industry can increase available housing by 1% to 2% per year. But the US population is only 330M out of 8B. So if just ~4% of Earth moves here,” explained Musk, “housing would need to double, which is impossible, causing a massive homeless problem and house prices to be astronomically unaffordable.”

Additionally, the billionaire reacted to the increasing number of illegal border crossings under Biden’s watch, along with projections on where his four-year term could end, and dubbed the matter, “illegal voter importation. Plain and simple.”

“And those responsible can and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” he added.

This came after simply commenting “Insane” to the number of illegal encounters under Biden that had nearly matched those under former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump between 2013-2020 in only three years time at almost 8.5 million compared to over 9.7 million. By the end of 2024, it was projected almost 12.1 illegal aliens would have crossed into the United States.

Of course, Musk’s reasonable take wasn’t the only thing offered up against Ocasio-Cortez’s blanket amnesty proposal as others offered their reactions.
