It’s June, which is the month everyone spends 30 days photoshopping rainbow colors over their logos, selling rainbow merchandise, and generally appealing to the LGBT community.
While this is generally to be expected of big corporations that seize on every popular movement that can help them market their product, one would think that NASCAR would be a port in the storm.
However, it would appear that the racing conglomerate is stepping into the world of the woke by kicking off Pride Month with a tweet admitting that its mission is to be a “welcoming” sport, and some recent actions haven’t aligned with that.
“As we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, we acknowledge that recent actions have not aligned with NASCAR’s mission to be a welcoming sport for all. We remain steadfast in our commitment to create a more inclusive environment — in our workplaces, at the race track & in the stands.”

So naturally, people have some questions, and some were simply just unhappy:
Good job!! Now watch your base walk away. How many new fans did this get you?😂😂😂😂😂 @NASCAR why are you deleting yourselves? I don’t really care just wondering. https://t.co/gXvDMABVzH

June is national #PTSD month & NASCAR didn’t put out a tweet for veterans so, no NASCAR is being diverse or inclusive. https://t.co/3CHd6djXpy

NASCAR hasn’t said what “recent actions” this tweet refers to but apparently anticipated a pride month tweet would spark a response of actions vs words … Texas Gov. Abbott’s waving green flag for all-star sparked criticism questioning NASCAR’s commitment to LGBTQ+ community. https://t.co/xyOVXDaPXq

Blood in the water. Once you admit wrongdoing and say you want to be more “inclusive,” the obvious follow up is to ask what you will do. This ends with some NGO getting a pile of money so they can call NASCAR racist. And this is all America is now, just one giant scam. https://t.co/p70TQzZWTX

What recent actions? I haven’t seen anyone protesting homosexuals in NASCAR. This is just straight up virtue signaling. Sad times. You are just entertainment. We enjoy watching races because it was an escape from the world for a short time. Bye bye Felicia! https://t.co/nEalL8sW8e
