NASCAR’s groveling Pride Month tweet claims its ‘recent actions’ haven’t aligned with its ‘mission’

It’s June, which is the month everyone spends 30 days photoshopping rainbow colors over their logos, selling rainbow merchandise, and generally appealing to the LGBT community.

While this is generally to be expected of big corporations that seize on every popular movement that can help them market their product, one would think that NASCAR would be a port in the storm.

However, it would appear that the racing conglomerate is stepping into the world of the woke by kicking off Pride Month with a tweet admitting that its mission is to be a “welcoming” sport, and some recent actions haven’t aligned with that.

“As we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, we acknowledge that recent actions have not aligned with NASCAR’s mission to be a welcoming sport for all. We remain steadfast in our commitment to create a more inclusive environment — in our workplaces, at the race track & in the stands.”

So naturally, people have some questions, and some were simply just unhappy:
