‘Nebraska Walz’s for Trump’ pic all the rage, but don’t expect to see much coverage

The political divide between Democratic Vice Presidential pick Tim Walz and his pro-Trump brother just got a major social media boost.

On Wednesday, an image of a family in “Nebraska Walz’s for Trump” shirts quickly went viral, feeding off speculation that Tim Walz’s family does not support his political endeavors. It was spread far and wide, with even the likes of podcaster Megyn Kelly weighing in on the purported family drama.

She posted a follow-up message saying that she does not know if any of the people in the image are actual family members of the Democrat VP pick but noted that his brother, Jeff Walz, has publically admitted to not supporting his brother’s politics.

“I dnk the relation if any b/tn these ppl & Walz. What I do know is Tim Walz’s brother has ripped Tim unsparingly on FB (h/t [NY Post]), even saying he may endorse Trump & this did not wind up w/the kind of coverage ANYONE named Trump or Kennedy can get by disparaging DJT/RFKJ. The media will care only if they can debunk the story or crap on it somehow. If they learn any member of Walz’s (or Harris’s) family are against them, they will suddenly decide it’s not right to bring family members into the fray,” Kelly wrote.

Indeed, Jeff Walz reportedly penned some Facebook comments regarding his brother and they were less than flattering.

“I’m 100% opposed to all his ideology,” he wrote, according to the New York Post.

When another person pressed him to “Get on stage with President Trump and endorse him,” Walz was quite receptive to the idea.

“I’ve thought long and hard about doing something like that! I’m torn between that and just keeping my family out of it,” he said.

“The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future,” he wrote in another comment.
