President Joe Biden is walking a tightrope over the war between Israel and Hamas with the need for a show of open support for the nation’s critical Middle East ally being checked by the need to not anger his party’s rabidly antisemitic base before next year’s election.
The deeply unpopular octogenarian finds himself in a precarious situation after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly invited him to make a “solidarity” visit as the military operation to eradicate the terrorist presence in Gaza has commenced, a campaign that is drawing howls of outrage from leftists who are firmly on the side of the Palestinians, even after the barbaric slaughter of over 1,000 Jewish civilians by Hamas savages.
According to The Times of Israel, a Netanyahu aide said that Bibi extended the invitation to the geriatric career politician which could make him the first world leader to visit since the October 7 terrorist attack that Biden himself has said reminded him of The Holocaust.
Biden told 60 Minutes, the images of the Hamas terrorist attack reminded him of the Holocaust.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu invited US President Joe Biden to Israel on a solidarity visit amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, a Netanyahu aide told The Times of Israel Sunday,” the outlet reported.
For now, the administration isn’t saying much about the potential for such a politically sensitive meeting between the two leaders.
“We have no new travel to announce,” said White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson, according to the Times of Israel.
Such a trip would come at a time when mass anti-Israel protests are taking place in New York City and on college campuses and high-profile Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are demanding that the government act to stop the “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians in Gaza, all but openly accusing Netanyahu of human rights violations.

Biden is keeping in contact with Netanyahu as the international crisis has unfolded, speaking to the Israeli leader again over the weekend which he announced on X in a post calling for the condemnation of the barbarism of Hamas which massacred concertgoers at an outdoor music festival and slaughtered Jews in their own homes, including babies.
This weekend, I connected again with Prime Minister Netanyahu to reiterate unwavering U.S. support for Israel, and to provide an update on our military support and efforts to protect civilians.
It’s time all countries unequivocally condemned Hamas as a terrorist organization…

“This weekend, I connected again with Prime Minister Netanyahu to reiterate unwavering U.S. support for Israel, and to provide an update on our military support and efforts to protect civilians,” he stated in a Sunday post to the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “It’s time all countries unequivocally condemned Hamas as a terrorist organization that does not represent the aspirations of the Palestinian people.”
“We must not lose sight of the fact that the overwhelming majority of Palestinians had nothing to do with Hamas’s appalling attacks, and are suffering as a result of them,” Biden said in another Sunday post to X.
