Democrat nominee Kamala Harris is now leading former President Donald J. Trump in three critical Sun Belt states according to a new poll by Fox News.
According to the numbers from the survey conducted following last week’s Democratic National Convention and after RFK Jr. dropped out and endorsed Trump, Joe Biden’s vice president is now in front of Trump in Arizona 48-47 percent, Georgia 48-46 percent, and Nevada 48-46 percent. The GOP nominee still holds a narrow lead in North Carolina by 48-47 percent.
Trump leads on the important issues that truly matter in the daily lives of Americans like the economy, but Harris is performing best when it comes to tapping into emotions, with Fox News reporting that “more voters see Harris as the one who can unite the country — and who will “‘fight for people like you.'”

Fox News anchor Bret Baier broke down the new numbers and the big picture, with a familiar state once again set to play a key role in the fate of America.
“She wins Georgia, she wins the presidency of the United States,” he told viewers on Wednesday.
If the polling is accurate, it could be at least partially attributable to the influx of transplanted voters who fled deep blue hellholes like California but brought their leftist values to states like Arizona.
This point really stands out to me. Sure looks like people leaving blue states for red are continuing to vote for the things they supposedly left behind. This is why you see “Don’t California my Arizona” bumper stickers all over AZ.

The media is all over the poll by the conservative network, touting it as more proof of the Kamala surge, a phenomenon where the deeply unpopular vice president has almost instantly become a national rock star since she was installed as her party’s nominee after the Nancy Pelosi orchestrated coup that toppled Biden.
Team Trump expressed skepticism about the poll.

“We Report You Decide: Fox’s Polling Has An Awful Track Record,” read a statement by the Trump campaign throwing shade at Fox News.
“It’s that time of year again. Fox is releasing atrocious polling,” the statement reads. “A look at polling from the same time in 2020 shows that Fox was off in North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada from either 5.3% to 9.7%. [Fox’s only Georgia poll in 2020 was released in June and that one overstated Joe Biden’s support by 1.7%.]
“President Trump continues to outperform polling from past cycles. President Trump is 10 points ahead of where he was in Arizona at this point in 2020, according to Fox. Likewise, he is running 8 points ahead of his 2020 polling in Nevada and 5 points ahead of his 2020 polling in North Carolina,” the campaign said. “We see the same trend nationwide.”
The statement cites the RealClearPolitics average, which shows that Trump is performing better in Pennsylvania than he did in 2020.
“These results show Harris has succeeded at expanding the electoral map. When Biden was at the top of the ticket, the only pathway to an electoral college victory for the Democrat ticket was a sweep of the blue wall states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania,” Fox News quotes Democratic pollster Chris Anderson. “That’s no longer the case with these Sun Belt states in play.”
