Allegations that the National Football League (NFL) is giving special treatment to one team are bogus, said Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Rumors that the Kansas City Chiefs, which have brought a lot of attention to the league through news related to the relationship between billionaire singer Taylor Swift and tight end Travis Kelce, are receiving favoritism were dismissed. This comes despite critics claiming there have been a number of controversial calls made in the team’s favor.

“That’s a ridiculous theory — for anyone who might take it seriously. But at the end of the day, it’s something we always have to continue to work on: How do we make our officiating better?”

“This sort of thing reminds me of the script, right, that I write a script, and I have the script for the entire season,” Goodell scoffed. “Listen, I think from a lot of those theories are things that happen in social media, and they gain a new life. As you said [reporter], it’s not your theory, but it’s out there. Nobody wants it to be their theory and so, I understand it. I think it reflects a lot of the fan’s passion and it’s also a reminder for us of how important officiating is.
“I think the men and women that officiate in the NFL are outstanding. They have the highest possible standards. That’s a ridiculous theory for anyone who might take it seriously. But at the end of the day, that’s something we always have to continue to work on how do we make our officiating better at all times,” he added.
X users weren’t buying it:
It’s a conspiracy theory and how many of those have been right in the last several years?

of course he will deny – but the truth is the Chiefs have been getting a “PUSH” to try and win support for a publicly funded stadium that the hunts dont want to pay for @NFL @nflcommish @KCSTAR

Make the officials accountable for those bad calls and they need to come out publicly explaining their decision-making process for making the call in the first place. Fans just want clarity and to know that there are reasons (other than bias) certain decisions are made.

This is the same guy who gets booed at the NFL Draft and thinks it’s a good thing.
