NFL commish gushes about Bad Bunny: ‘One of the greatest artists in the world’

National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell couldn’t say enough good things about this year’s halftime performer.

The Puerto Rican artist has been outspoken on his views of the United States, specifically Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) action. He once again voiced his displeasure at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, as did many of the celebrities in attendance.

“Before I say thanks to god, I’m going to say, ICE Out,” he said during his acceptance speech, winning the Album of the Year award.

“We are not savage, we are not animals, we are not aliens, we are humans, and we are Americans. The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So, please, we need to be different.”

Now, just a few days shy of the Super Bowl, Goodell gushed over the performer, saying he is “one of the greatest artists in the world.”

“He understood the platform he was on. This platform is used to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talent, and to be able to use this moment to do that. I think artists in the past have done that,” the commissioner said. “I think Bad Bunny understands that, and I think he’ll have a great performance.”
