NFL player’s charity golf tourney at Trump-owned course BACK ON after bullies forced cancellation

In a positive update to what was a very disappointing story about successful leftist bullying, an NFL star who was forced to call off his charity golf tournament at one of former President Donald J. Trump’s clubs after teams and a “big sponsor” pulled out, announced that the event is back on again.

Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer appeared on Friday’s edition of “America Reports” on Fox News where he delivered the good news that the tourney will be played as scheduled on July 10 at Trump National Doral Miami where players will tee off on the Blue Monster, one of the resort’s most popular courses.

After telling the story about the disappointment of having people with political agendas and a pathological hatred for Trump that far exceeds their concern for their fellow human beings wreck the tournament, Poyer said that the event was proceeding as scheduled, mud in the eye for the haters.

“Well, the great news is that the tournament is going to happen. We had just like I said, the most amount of tremendous support around the country, we had a sponsor, Public Square, based right here in Florida, they are going to sponsor the entire tournament,” he said.

“And the tournament is actually happening July 10th at the same exact place, at Trump National, at the Blue Monster, my favorite place to play other than Coral Ridge Country club, it’s going to be an amazing time,” Poyer continued. “The fans are gonna be out there. I already got a huge list of players coming out, some influencers, and it’s gonna be a great time.”

“The Jordan Poyer Celebrity Open has been resumed and is scheduled to take place on July 10 at the Blue Monster course,” read a statement from Avalon Sports Group, which represents the Pro Bowl defender.

The Buffalo News reported, “The Avalon statement announced that the presenting sponsor of the tournament will be PublicSq, a business-promotion platform whose website describes itself as ‘pro-life, pro-family, pro-freedom.’ That aligns with Poyer’s views, which he expressed in his Buffalo News interview while also emphasizing, ‘I’m trying to put the sides away. Let’s talk about me and you. Let’s talk about us. Let’s come together, regardless of what side you’re on.'”

It was an unexpected turn of events after his downtrodden message from last weekend posted by the player in an Instagram video last weekend announcing that the tourney was off.

“I was really excited for this tournament,” said Poyer who lives in Miami during the offseason. “Unfortunately, there have been numerous amount of teams up north that have pulled out of the tournament, not just out of the tournament but also wrote e-mails to a big sponsor that was going to help sponsor my tournament, and that company now, it’s unfortunate that they have pulled out and decided that they don’t want to take part in my tournament, in which they took part in last year, because of where it’s at, Trump National in Doral.”

“Unfortunately, we were sadly surprised by negative comments by some individuals to make this a political battle and continue to divide our community,” Avalon Sports said in a statement after the event was called off due to leftist pressure. “We condemn any type of violence and stand by Jordan as he continues to work to make a positive impact and be a role model for our community.”
