Nikki Haley shares photo of daughter’s wedding, immediately gets blasted for how she dressed

It doesn’t take much effort at all for a Republican politician to be roundly criticized in post-Obama America, where even wedding attire draws intense scrutiny.

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who is running in the 2024 GOP presidential primary, shared a family photo from her daughter’s wedding over the weekend and while decent folk responded to offer their congrats, some opted to blast Haley for wearing an off-white gown to the wedding ceremony.

Haley tweeted, “We had the sweetest weekend celebrating Rena and Josh. Thankful for our sweet family and friends who joined us in supporting and celebrating them. Rena and Josh, we could not be more proud of both of you!”

The photo featured Haley and her husband Michael, son Nalin, daughter Rena and new son-in-law Josh Jackson, who is black — this potentially being a sore spot for some on the left who spent their days accusing Republicans of being racists.

In a pre-wedding photo shared on Instagram, Haley wrote, “As parents you pray your children will find that special someone to go through life with. The day is here and we couldn’t be more excited for our daughter and future son. As we start this special day, our hearts are full knowing this is the day the Lord has made…”

But it all proved to be too much joy for some, who opted to take exception to Haley wearing an off-white gown to spew negativity.

Here’s a quick sampling of some of those responses, as seen on Twitter:
