A poorly thought-out proposal plan went about as you might expect given the circumstances, resulting in a painful lesson for the potential groom should he ever find himself having the need to offer marriage again.
An L.A. Dodgers fan ran onto the field of play during Opening Day of the 2023 MLB season as players warmed up. Upon reaching a sufficient area in center field, Ricardo Juarez went down to one knee and held up a ring box — we presume his fiancé-to-be was in the stands. While some cheered him on and others recorded, Juarez began to put the ring away when a security guard suddenly entered the frame of the video.
And when we say entered the frame, he did so with force because he was moving. The security guard tackled Juarez with considerable force while he was still kneeling, violently knocking him to the ground. Two other security guards arrived and they are seen rolling Juarez onto his stomach and pulling his arms behind his back.
“No way!” someone in the stands yelled out, likely a friend who was in on the ill-advised stunt, as other fans groaned.

Another angle shows Diamondbacks left fielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. seemingly showing support, perhaps realizing what Juarez was up to. He throws his hands over his head in shock as he watches the security guard take out the love-struck fan.

The good news is that the hometown Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-2, getting the new season off to a winning start.
Even better news, his girlfriend Ramona Saavedra said, “Yes!”
