As the same tired arguments were rolled out by gun-grabbing activists in the wake of a Texas tragedy, podcast host Megyn Kelly held her ground as she slammed “failed” ideologues who don’t like facts: “No, YOU F off.”
Saturday afternoon, an as yet unidentified murderer had opened fire at the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas, fatally wounding at least eight and sending no less than seven more to the hospital, three in critical condition, before being neutralized by an officer’s quick response.
Per usual, with an active investigation underway and details still scarce, arguments to address the factors that might motivate a person to commit acts of evil were supplanted in favor of blaming the tool and, by extension, the rights of law abiding citizens.
Taking to Twitter late Saturday, Kelly attempted to offer real solutions that wouldn’t infringe upon the rights of others to be able to defend themselves as she asked, “Serious [question] for gun control advocates: you’ve failed to effect change. [Please] face it. You can’t do it, [thanks] to the [Second Amendment]. We’re all well aware you don’t like that fact, but fact it is. What’s next? Must we just stay here sad, concerned, lamenting? Could we possibly talk OTHER SOLUTIONS?”
“Mental health interventions ([something] real, not the BS we now do), greater willingness to lock [people] up ([with] protocols for civil [liberties]) who are deemed to be threats, fortification of soft targets, coordination of media response to not lionize shooters, etc,” she suggested as just a few possible paths.

Kelly’s phrasing suggested she was well aware that rational discussion was beyond the seething mob that most often seeks but one result and accepts nothing short, and responses in that vein were in ample supply including suggesting the commentator’s position was one of “white supremacy.”
Breaking news: Megyn Kelly still deplorable
I, for one, will never stop advocating for strong gun control until we have it. pic.twitter.com/BMVjaPMjfp

Klan Barbie’s (Megyn Kelly) reaction says it all. The GOP/MAGA response is to talk about anything except the proliferation of guns. Because gun possession is a bedrock of white supremacy.

When you think you’re smarter than others you become immune to the possibility you might actually be incorrect. There is NO reason a civilian should own an AR15 or similar weapons. It’s preposterous. It IS mental illness to think otherwise.

The gem that stood out to Kelly and prompted a response was from one user who wrote, “F off. There were three mass shootings today. Almost 200 since January.”
To that, the podcast host railed, “No, YOU F off. I am sick and tired of nothing changing after mass shootings [because] we get mired EVERY TIME IN THE DAMN GUN DEBATE. You have LOST. It’s DONE. For the love of God what else can be done? You are ruining any chance at change by not admitting that the gun debate is lost.”

Of course, that wasn’t enough to stop the wailing from leftists who continued to roll out provably false talking points like America being the only place where these tragedies occur and that the Second Amendment was not meant for the general population.
That said, Kelly wasn’t alone in pushing back on the gun grabbers as others stood in support of reasoned debate and actual common sense solutions.
Based and factual. Love it

100% on point Megyn! It is time to move on and find bipartisan solutions…

The solution is to address not only the mental health crisis that leads people to believe that the killing of innocents is acceptable, but the foundation of evil in their hearts that compels them to commit such acts.
