The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has recouped the $59 million that rogue FEMA employees disbursed to pay for the housing of illegal aliens in the swanky New York City hotels that they have been put up in since the Biden administration.
The now-fired “Deep State activists” defied President Donald J. Trump when they ignored his executive order on funding restrictions to send the tens of millions to pay for the luxury accommodations for the foreign invaders to whom the Big Apple has been a magnet due to the royal treatment that they have been given with taxpayers forced to foot the bill.
On Wednesday, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced that she has “clawed back” the money for the hotel that has harbored a notorious Venezuelan gang as well as the illegal alien thug who murdered Laken Riley, the 22-year-old nursing student whose life was brutally ended by one of the criminal “newcomers” that Democrats welcomed into the country with open arms.

“I have clawed back the full payment that FEMA deep state activists unilaterally gave to NYC migrant hotels. FEMA was funding the Roosevelt Hotel that serves as a Tren de Aragua base of operations and was used to house Laken Riley’s killer,” Noem wrote in a post to X.
“Mark my words: there will not be a single penny spent that goes against the interest and safety of the American people,” she vowed.
On Tuesday, DHS announced that it had terminated the culprits, including the agency’s chief financial officer, Mary Comans.
Mary Comans was FIRED as CFO of FEMA.
She helped circumvent President Trump’s executive order so illegal aliens could enjoy luxury hotels in NYC on the taxpayer dime.

“Effective immediately, FEMA is terminating the employment of four individuals for circumventing leadership to unilaterally make egregious payments for luxury NYC hotels for migrants,” DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.
“Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, DHS will not sit idly and allow deep state activists to undermine the will and safety of the American people,” the statement read.
The illicit payment was discovered by the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) which has whipped up Democrats and their allies into a state of fear and loathing as they subject federal government agencies to historic scrutiny, uncovering rampant fraud, abuse, and corruption.

“That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals!” Musk pointed out.

The clawback rattled Gotham’s Democrat leadership with one official describing it as “highway robbery,” according to the New York Times.
“I find it terrifying that the federal government had the ability to seize money from us in a way that we did not know before,” said New York City Comptroller Brad Lander at a Wednesday news conference. “I asked, ‘Has this ever happened before?’ No one is aware of it happening.”
