Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem delivered a powerful message to would-be illegal border crossers, but critics only cared about what she was wearing.
Noem posted a video message from the notorious El Salvador prison where hundreds of illegal aliens were deported to from the U.S. as President Donald Trump’s administration cracked down on criminals and gang members.
She came face to face with alleged members of Tren de Aragua on Wednesday as she toured El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center along with Salvadoran Minister of Justice, Héctor Gustavo Villatoro.
“President Trump and I have a clear message to criminal illegal aliens: LEAVE NOW. If you do not leave, we will hunt you down, arrest you, and you could end up in this El Salvadorian prison,” Noem captioned her video message on social media.

She warned any illegal aliens breaking U.S. laws in her video, standing in front of shirtless and tattooed inmates with shaved heads behind bars.
“First of all, do not come to our country illegally: You will be removed, and you will be prosecuted,” she said. “But know that this facility is one of the tools in our toolkit that we will use if you commit crimes against the American people.”
The powerful notice was a far cry from four years of enablement under President Joe Biden. But Democrats proved again they place little value on law and order as they melted down on social media over Noem’s tour of the prison and even criticized her for the watch she was wearing.
Is Secretary Noem wearing a $50,000 gold Rolex Daytona wristwatch while she films a threat to immigrants with due-process free rendition to a third-world prison?
How much does DHS pay? https://t.co/xszninvLIw

Wearing what appears to be a $50k gold Rolex Daytona to film a threat of due-process free rendition to a third-world prison is a really special touch, Secretary.

This is disturbing for so many reasons. Did she actually coordinate her outfit with theirs???

Others could not handle the strong messaging from the Trump administration.
I’m tired of watching you parade around. Just do your job.

If being opposed to sending people to foreign concentration camps with no due process and then doing pin-up girl photo shoots in front of them is a 20% issue then call me Mr. 20. I’d get a Mr. 20 tattoo but it seems that might endanger me with ICE https://t.co/Re9weTpiNP

Noem had plenty of support, however, as many X users applauded the clear message to illegal aliens.
This just feels different than Kamala Harris’ “do not come” warning from Guatemala… https://t.co/lVwG4XtjTF
