New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino isn’t holding anything back when it comes to Mayor Zohrani Mamdani and 9/11.
The Queens Republican raged against hizzoner’s signing of two executive orders related to the greatest terrorist attack on U.S. soil in the nation’s history during a Tuesday appearance on “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News.
Last week, the city’s first Muslim mayor signed off on the orders designating an official day of remembrance and strengthening the city’s emergency preparedness and then gave one of the pens to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who handed it off to Gotham’s chief legal counsel Ramzi Kassem, the city’s chief legal counsel who was one of the attorneys for Ahmed al-Darbi, an operative of al-Qaeda.
“Symbolism,” the show’s host Laura Ingraham explained, “it’s important to everyone, but it’s super important in the Islamic world, for Muslims. Symbols matter. Commemorative, it matters to people.”

“But they’re defending his decision to give Ramzi Kassem the pen,” she said, referring to a statement from the mayor’s office that Kassem was at the signing ceremony “to perform his official responsibilities” and that, as a New Yorker who lived in the city on the day of the attacks, was “personally invested in these executive orders.”
“I am sick to death of all of this,” Paladino fumed. “Sick to death of all of this, and I have tried– we have come out there. Today, I pounded that home so well, and I said, ‘This is enough.’”
The councilwoman unloaded on Mamdani and his decision to grace the solemn remembrance of 9/11 with his presence in a blistering rant during a news conference at City Hall earlier in the day, demanding that the Ugandan-born socialist mayor stay the hell away from Ground Zero on Friday.

“We are standing here, and we are standing strong,” Paladino said from the steps of City Hall. “I’m not asking politely for the mayor not to come to 9/11, to that ceremony; I am asking, I am demanding, he not show his face at that sacred ground. He does not belong there.”
“We need to be able to see through this total, absolute farce that they’re trying to pawn off on New Yorkers and across the country. I’m telling you, this was symbolism. It was cryptic,” she told Ingraham.
“But it was a message. The same way it’s a message when he goes down to 9/11,” she continued. “I hate to even say this, Laura. But you know, it’s a message to Osama bin Laden that, look, ‘We conquered New York.’”
“That’s how scary all of this really is, to each and every one of us,” Paladino said. “New Yorkers need to wake up. He won this election not with born-and-bred New Yorkers. He won this election with transplants, ages 18 to 30 years old, making promises he could never keep. So, I am furious.”
Despite the outrage of many, Mamdani has insisted on attending the annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Friday.
