NYC mayor slammed over prepaid credit cards for illegals: ‘Maybe TRUMP is the answer’

New York City political leadership has come up with the idea of passing out pre-paid credit cards to illegal aliens under a new program, a scheme that drew a strong response from critics.

The New York Post dropped the bombshell about the $53 million pilot program under which Gotham will soon start giving away freebies to hundreds of people who arrive at the Roosevelt Hotel, the once ritzy property that has been turned into a migrant center.

Citing city records, the outlet reported that the program would dole out the city cash to the foreign moochers to help with buying food starting with 500 migrant families. The money will replace the existing food service that’s already being offered at the hotel.

The amounts on the cards will reportedly vary with up to $1,000 per month possible for a family of four. The cards will be reloaded every 28 days and are yet another enticement for illegals to head north to the Big Apple.

“The cards can only be used at bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets and convenience stores — and migrants must sign an affidavit swearing they will only spend the funds on food and baby supplies or they will be kicked out of the program,” the outlet reported, a strong indication that the program will be rife with abuse.

After all, how many scofflaws like Jhoan Boada won’t be able to easily figure out a way to get around the signed affidavit? Chances are that many will be spending the city’s largesse on such essentials as weed, hard drugs, beer wine and booze, gambling and prostitutes.

One of those who reacted negatively to the city’s scheme was rapper 50 Cent who shared the Post story along with his solution to the migrant problem on Instagram.

“WTF mayor Adams call my phone, I don’t understand how this works ‍♂️somebody explain,” he wrote. “Maybe TRUMP is the answer.”

Judging by the reaction on X, the program isn’t likely to go over well with productive taxpaying citizens.

“Not only will this provide families with the ability to purchase fresh food for their culturally relevant diets and the baby supplies of their choosing, but the pilot program is expected to save New York City more than $600,000 per month, or more than $7.2 million annually,” a spokesperson for Mayor Eric Adams told the New York Post.

It wasn’t long ago that Hizzoner was sounding the alarm that the illegal alien invasion would “destroy” the city which has already been forced to make deep cuts in essential services, but there’s always money for migrants.
