Nearly the entire Democratic Party quickly moved in lockstep to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as their nominee after Joe Biden quit his reelection campaign, with one major exception: Barack Obama.
In a bizarre few weeks that has seen both a failed assassination attempt against Republican nominee Donald J. Trump and an internal party coup against Biden, the lack of Obama’s formal nod to the ditzy DEI hire has been a mystery that may have just been solved.
The nation’s 44th president hasn’t come out in favor of Biden’s heir apparent because “he knows she can’t win,” according to a bombshell New York Post report.

“Obama’s very upset because he knows she can’t win,” a source close to Biden’s family told the outlet, a revealing insight into the former president’s thinking.
“Obama knows she’s just incompetent — the border czar who never visited the border, saying that all migrants should have health insurance. She cannot navigate the landmines that are ahead of her,” the unnamed source added. “When you are running for president there are things you can and can’t say.”
The border czar matter is of particular concern for Democrats and their media partners who have been busy scrubbing their prior reporting to downplay Harris’s complete and total failure after her boss delegated authority to her on the illegal alien problem.
“Wait until the debate… She can’t debate. She’s going to put her foot in her mouth about Israel, Palestine, Ukraine. She’s going to say something really stupid,” the source added, referring to her upcoming debate with Trump who is eager to get into the ring with her after delivering the knockout punch to Biden during the CNN debate last month.
“Obama knew this was going to happen, Joe knew this was going to happen. Now she is going to have to answer real questions,” the source said, suggesting that there is only so much that the media can do to shroud Harris in a protective cocoon of fawning coverage and that she could crash and burn if the safety net is briefly removed during a one-on-one with Trump.
According to the source, Obama wanted Biden gone and a key aspect of the plan was getting his Hollywood buddy George Clooney to pen an op-ed for the New York Times calling for the deeply unpopular octogenarian to quit.

But the scheming former president was caught off guard when Biden tabbed Harris as his successor.
“Obama was shocked” when Biden immediately endorsed her and he is said to have wanted former astronaut Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) “at the top of the ticket” when the party holds its convention in Chicago next month.
The source said that Obama is “furious” that things haven’t gone as planned which is why he hasn’t joined his party in uniting behind Harris.
The Post cites another “well-placed Democrat source” who said that “Obama being surprised by a smart political decision actually makes sense when coupled with his personal inability to see politics beyond his singular, immediate interests.”
“Obama always thinks he is the smartest and coolest guy in the room. He’s friends with George Clooney, after all,” the second source said.
Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich who blasted Obama as a “threat to democracy” in a Wall Street Journal op-ed titled “Biden Gets the Chicago Treatment” told the Post that he believes “Obama was instrumental” in the toppling of Biden.
It “couldn’t have happened without him,” the disgraced Democrat who likened Obama to an “old-fashioned ward boss” in his WSJ piece said.
“Without Obama, Biden is still the Democratic nominee. Obama was the conductor leading the orchestra that convinced Biden to step aside,” Blagojevich told the paper.
