Obama’s ‘wingman’ pimps SCOTUS ‘reforms’ in preview of new Dem talking point

Former Attorney General Eric Holder called for Democrats to dramatically reshape the Supreme Court if they win the “trifecta in 2028”  and retake total control over the federal government.

During an appearance on Monday’s edition of the left-wing MeidasTouch podcast, “Obama’s wingman” previewed the party’s new talking point that the nation’s highest court is a “broken institution” that desperately needs “reform” which is a term used to cloak the party’s determination to permanently alter the balance of power on the bench so that the SCOTUS will be a rubberstamp for their extremism.

Holder whined that the Supreme Court’s “shadow docket” has undone the lawfare obstructionism of President Donald J. Trump’s executive orders to undo the damage that was inflicted upon the country during the Biden administration. The high court has consistently sided with the president in overruling an endless blizzard of injunctions and temporary injunctions churned out by unelected Democrat-appointed lower court judges.

“If you look at what’s happening at the district court level, at the court of appeals level, it doesn’t matter who the president was who appointed the judge. The judges have ruled, I think, courageously and correctly,” Holder told host Ben Meiselas. “It’s only when you get to the Supreme Court that you see these problems start to arise.”

“And it’s the use of this overuse of the shadow docket. You know, by taking these cases and deciding them, essentially deciding them, without hearing any oral argument, with any adequate briefing,” he continued, according to a transcript from the left-leaning outlet Mediaite. “You know, deciding these really important matters in that way challenges the legitimacy of the court and does an untold amount of damage to the fabric, legal fabric of this nation.

“I think the reality is, and it pains me to say this, I think the Supreme Court is a broken institution, and it’s something that has to be, I think, a part of the national conversation in ’26 and in ’28. What are we gonna do about the Supreme Court?” Holder continued.  “And I think that we have to think about, again, talking about the acquisition, the use of power, if there is a Democratic trifecta in 2028, and I think the possibility of that is pretty good.”

“Supreme Court reform is something that has to be considered. Term limits, I think, at a minimum. Potentially expanding the court is something I think that also should be considered. We cannot leave in place without a discussion at least, and I think without substantive reforms being put in place for this Supreme Court as it is presently constituted,” he concluded.

Before they were booted from power by the American people last year, Democrats sought to impose shady “ethics” rules on Supreme Court justices, all selectively enforced against the conservative majority. They also proposed the elimination of lifetime terms as well as court packing, a dream of theirs ever since iconic Dem President Franklin D. Roosevelt tried to do it.

After the SCOTUS ruled to uphold presidential immunity – sparing Trump from the malicious lawfare concocted by special counsel Jack Smith – then-President Joe Biden went on national television to demand “reforms” to the court.

Democrats will go completely berserk if the Supreme Court rules to limit race-based drawing of congressional districts, an abuse of the Voting Rights Act that they have specialized in to unfairly game elections to their advantage.

Any ruling that would go against the longstanding practice will ignite a hysterical reaction from the party and the media that could be harnessed and used for fuel to power the lunatic base in 2028, with Trump not on the ticket, instead making the election into a referendum on the Supreme Court.

You can count on the race-baiting Holder leading the charge.
