Ocasio-Cortez calls for the U.S. to prevent Israel’s ‘ethnic cleansing of Palestinians’ in Gaza

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called for the United States to prevent Israel from committing “ethnic cleansing” against the Palestinians as the Jewish state moves to eradicate the Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

On Thursday, the ideological driving force of the modern Democratic Party posted a short video to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, where she demanded that the Biden regime act to tie Israel’s hands in retaliating against the Palestinian terrorist group after a barbaric sneak attack in which over 1,000 Jewish civilians were massacred in primitive fashion, including chopping the heads off of babies.

In the 45-second clip, the mouth that never shuts joined her mentor Sen. Bernie Sanders in accusing Israel of human rights violations in the carrying out of Operation Iron Swords, a military offensive to cleanse the terrorists from their refuge in Gaza.

“I would say that the United States, our responsibility is to the stability and the security of the region,” AOC began. “That means being able to support…not…support yes Israel in its defensive capacities, right, and its abilities in that context.”

“But it also means that the United States has a responsibility to ensure accountability to human rights, to prevent the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and to ensure that horrors do not happen in the names of victims who do not want their tragedy used to justify further violence and injustice,” said the socialist diva.

Like many other left-wing terrorist apologists, Ocasio-Cortez has tossed about the term “ethnic cleansing” to undermine Israel’s efforts at doing what the Middle East democracy believes is necessary to ensure the safety of its citizens. And she invoked it on Wednesday on X to accuse Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) of endorsing it in Gaza after he suggested that Israel should “level the place” during a Fox News appearance.

“This is textbook rhetoric of ethnic cleansing that cannot be accepted in any civil society, let alone the United States,” the New York City Democrat wrote. “It is an affront to humanity to weaponize this horrific trauma to justify the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. It is dangerous and must stop.”

Ocasio-Cortez didn’t quite go as far as Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) did – at least not yet – after the crypto-communist codger accused Israel of committing war crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza as well as violating international law.

“Right now, the international community must focus on reducing humanitarian suffering and protecting innocent people on both sides of this conflict,” Comrade Bernie said in a statement. “The targeting of civilians is a war crime, no matter who does it. Israel’s blanket denial of food, water, and other necessities to Gaza is a serious violation of international law and will do nothing but harm innocent civilians.”

To her credit, AOC did condemn Hamas in a statement after the attacks in which she called for an immediate “ceasefire” to prevent Israel from taking “mighty vengeance” as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed after the butchery of his citizens.

“Today is devastating for all those seeking a lasting peace and respect for human rights in Israel and Palestine. I condemn Hamas’ attack in the strongest possible terms. No child and family should ever endure this kind of violence and fear, and this violence will not solve the ongoing oppression and occupation in the region. An immediate ceasefire and de-escalation is urgently needed to save lives,” she said.
