Outrage over American flag distorted for Zelenskyy’s visit to DC: ‘This is obscene! Should be taken down!’

Even more infuriating — at least, for many on the right — than a broken Congress passing a 4,155 page, $1.7 trillion government funding bill chock full of spending increases and pork in a time of inflation and rising interest rates is the insistence by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell that “the number one priority” for Republicans is to continue funding the Ukrainian military.

That fanciful declaration coming as Congress held a lovefest for Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, allowing him to speak from the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives and ask for even more assistance. Vice President Kamala Harris and Speaker Nancy Pelosi were happy to serve as prop masters for Zelenskyy as he displayed a flag signed by Ukrainian soldiers — Pelosi about fell off the rostrum with a misguided kiss to the cheek of the Ukrainian leader.

The reaction in Washington reflects a perfect marriage between neo-con Republicans and suddenly authoritarian Democrats who’ve apparently never met a dictatorial government they didn’t like or want to emulate.

With so much love flowing, Ukrainian U.N. official Sergiy Kyslytsya celebrated the “unity” by sharing a U.S. flag entirely in the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag — at a Wednesday press conference, President Biden pledged to stand with Ukraine for “as long as it takes.”

With The Star-Spangled Banner being under fire in America for a number of years now by the radical left, suffice it to say that some folks are a bit sensitive to what they consider desecration:
