President Joe Biden would get clobbered by GOP frontrunner and likely nominee Donald J. Trump in five key swing states if the election were held today, news that set off panic attacks on the left and calls to jettison the octogenarian Democrats.
The results of the newly released New York Times-Sienna College polling hit like a bombshell just in time for the Sunday morning talk shows which were dominated by pundits being forced to contemplate that which they once believed was impossible, that Trump could return to the White House.
According to the poll, the former president would win in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Michigan and even on Biden’s home turf of Pennsylvania where he would edge out good old Joe from Scranton 48-44, a flashing red light considering that voters elected mentally challenged galoot John Fetterman to the Senate last year over a fully functional GOP alternative.
One prominent Democrat voice who is very close to Barack Obama, former senior adviser to the nation’s 44th president David Axelrod correctly sees the poll as a bad omen for the party.
“It’s very late to change horses; a lot will happen in the next year that no one can predict & Biden’s team says his resolve to run is firm,” he wrote on X, previously known as Twitter. He’s defied CW before but this will send tremors of doubt thru the party–not “bed-wetting,” but legitimate concern.”

“The @POTUS is justly proud of his accomplishments. Trump is a dangerous, unhinged demagogue whose brazen disdain for the rules, norms, laws and institutions or democracy should be disqualifying. But the stakes of miscalculation here are too dramatic to ignore,” Axelrod added.

In another X post, the ruthless Democrat strategist all but gave the deeply unpopular octogenarian bumbler a good hard shove out the door.
“Only @JoeBiden can make this decision,” he wrote. “If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s?”

If it’s coming from Axelrod, there’s a good chance that Obama himself has decided that it’s time to pull the plug on his malfunctioning puppet.
Others also see Biden dragging the party down like a cinderblock around its neck.
During ABC’s “This Week” longtime Clinton family stooge George Stephanopoulos, former DNC boss Donna Brazile, and the gang think that Biden has to go but fretted that the party will have a hard time selling VP Kamala Harris, a defective product that has bombed big time.
After another round of brutal polling for Biden, the ABC panel is openly discussing Biden stepping aside:

Over on MSNBC, the sense of doom was palpable with former Biden spox interviewing Progressive Caucus queen Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) who sees the writing on the wall.

Neocon propagandist Bill Kristol also strongly suggested that it’s time to say hasta la vista to Joe.
It’s time.
President Biden has served our country well. I’m confident he’ll do so for the next year.
But it’s time for an act of personal sacrifice and public spirit.
It’s time to pass the torch to the next generation.
It’s time for Biden to announce he won’t run in 2024.

The New York Times-Sienna College numbers are even more shocking considering how much that’s been thrown at Trump with the J6 scam, years of negative propaganda, and the lawfare attacks on the former president by partisan prosecutors in blue states and at the Biden Justice Department.
It could now be imminent that Biden gets the hook before the numbers become so overwhelmingly bad that Democrats will be unable to pull any of their usual election trickery.
