A brutal attack on a Florida teen by a group of students was caught on disturbing video, showing the boy being dropped onto concrete head first.
Coral Springs Police responded to the incident which began as a “fight” near Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School where the victim reportedly attends school. The Parkland school is the site of one of the nation’s worst mass shootings when 17 students and staff were killed in 2018.
The victim, a white teen who has not been identified, was reportedly unconscious after he was allegedly slammed by another teen who had been carrying him over his shoulder, according to WSVN. Cell phone video shows other teens trying to assist before help arrived and the student was rushed to the hospital with a fractured skull, according to police.

The video showed a “fight among students at MSD at a park in nearby Coral Springs that showed the male getting jumped by multiple teens who were seen pummeling him with heavy blows,” WPLG reported.
“Eventually, the student was picked up by at least a few of his peers, who then threw him back on the ground, causing the male to land awkwardly on his neck and head, instantly going limp,” the station reported. “A crowd was seen forming around the chaos and additional cellphone video showed most of the students standing and recording the fight instead of calling for help.”

A friend of the victim told WSVN that about 15 other students had chased the teen.
“I was there when they started chasing him, but when I left, he was in an ambulance,” he recounted. “I heard that he fractured his skull. I just know he’s OK and I hope that doesn’t happen again.”

No arrests have been made at the time of this writing but an investigation was underway.
The school principal Michelle Kefford clarified in a statement that the fight and assault occurred at a nearby park and not on school grounds as some were speculating.
“I’m reaching out regarding a disturbing incident that took place off-campus, after school Tuesday at North Community Park in Coral Springs,” Kefford began.
“Several students were involved in a physical altercation and one student was injured. While this park is not a school or district-operated property, the safety of our students is always our priority, and we are working with law enforcement to help identify those involved. Due to the open investigation, I am not able to provide additional details, but I want to assure you this situation is being taken seriously,” the principal wrote.
“Please do remind your students to say something if they see something. As always, thank you for your support,” the letter concluded.
It’s not just North Community Park! This is the Junior parking lot where our kids pay to park to go to SCHOOL . Our kids need to be protected and the kids who did this need to be arrested!!

It wasn’t just a fight. A boy got jumped by a large group of boys, picked up and slammed on his head, taken by ambulance to the hospital with a fractured skull. My kids have to walk through that park every day to and from school. Something has to be done!
