U.S. Sen. John Kennedy dropped a reality check about public media programming after the CEO of PBS claimed it’s a “struggle” to find examples of bias.
The fiery Louisiana Republican took to social media to roll out a series of posts poking holes in the left’s narrative, reacting to PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger’s comments in defense of public broadcasting.
Kerger told CNN that “people often struggle to come up with examples” of bias, as she and NPR chief Katherine Maher recently testified before a House subcommittee as they fight to retain federal funding.
“Actually, it’s not a struggle at all,” Kennedy quipped on X. “Here are just a few of PBS’s biggest whiffs.”

In addition to the clip of Kerger on CNN, Kennedy provided examples that he presented on the Senate floor, reading PBS headlines as he called for an end to taxpayer funding of partisan networks.
Kennedy read off headlines from Louisiana public media about “gender justice.”

He pointed out PBS reports on America’s “history of racism” as well as one about “talking to young children about race and racism.”
“Should taxpayers really be funding PBS’s hot takes on ‘the hidden racism of young white Americans’?” the senator asked in his caption.

“Give me a break,” Kennedy quipped in another clip that highlighted “a blueprint for the case against Trump.”

“Thanks to President Trump’s rescission package, taxpayers may finally be able to get out of the business of deeply weird, left-wing media,” Kennedy concluded the thread. “That’s a good thing.”
Earlier this year, Kennedy, who serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee, introduced a measure to block federal funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which directs taxpayer dollars to National Public Radio.
“The Corporation for Public Broadcasting should not be funneling Louisianians’ hard-earned tax dollars to outlets with one-sided coverage that clearly aim to promote a leftist political agenda. The No Propaganda Act would make sure that Americans aren’t footing the bill for biased, government media,” Kennedy said at the time.
