‘Peace-loving hippie’ Steven Van Zandt clarifies call to ‘exterminate’ Republican ‘cockroaches’

Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street band guitarist Steven Van Zandt followed up on his Easter Sunday tweet calling for the genocide of conservative Americans — he incited younger generations to “exterminate these cockroaches once and for all” — by proving that in addition to being a coward that he is also an elite hypocrite.

Van Zandt, 72, appears to be even further left than his pal Bruce Springsteen, or at least more vocal. Either way, he’s now trying to bill himself as a “peace loving hippie” after tweeting this: “Republican White Supremicist (sic) scumbag cowards and pu**ies that need guns to feel like real men. Gen Z, Gen Y, Gen X will unite and exterminate these cockroaches once and for all.”

The peace-loving hippie deleted the tweet that was spurred by the “Tennessee Three” and explained in another tweet that he did so “to avoid spending half my day deleting Foxsucking scumbag Russian bots and MAGOTT cockroaches like you! Go take away some women’s rights, keep some Black people from voting, go harass a Trans event, go shoot some kids, do what Republicans do best and get the f**k outta my feed!”

The tweets are a perfect encapsulation of the American left today as they preach love and acceptance, and with the sh*t storm raining down on Van Zandt as it should have, he made a more sober attempt to explain himself.

“In this case the phrase was used as symbolism. I know you pathetic MAGotts don’t have the intelligence to recognize that but that’s your problem. Don’t project your mindless violence fantasies on this peace loving hippie. Exterminate at the ballot box was clearly what was meant,” he tweeted.

It seems the tough-talking rocker may have bought into his “Sopranos” character Silvio Dante a bit too much — but then, odds are he is surrounded by armed security and has few fears as he advocates for taking your guns away.

The real shame here is that Van Zandt didn’t mind cashing the checks that conservative Americans provided over the years in supporting the music he produced with Springsteen, and now that he’s fat and rich he opts to take a dump on them, as does Springsteen.

One thing is certain, the peace-loving hippy ticked a whole lot of people off… here’s a sampling of some of those responses and few come without expletives:
