The mainstream media has done a masterful job of vanishing the effects of the end of Title 42 since it formally ended, opening the southern border to an invasion of illegal immigrants who the Biden regime has rolled out the red carpet for with its disastrous policies.
While the absence of media reports about the influx of thousands of migrants into the country has been noticeable to those who are paying close attention, the nation’s leading newspaper, the once-venerable New York Times which is now a mouthpiece of the Democratic Party, published an essay over the weekend claiming that the predicted calamity of the end of the Trump-era policy to mitigate the spread of COVID was merely a figment of right-wingers’ imaginations.
“Here’s the truth: If you’re hearing about the border, it’s likely that somebody is trying to scare you,” the Times piece states. “The dreaded post-Title 42 surge didn’t come. In fact, encounters between Border Patrol agents and migrants dropped 50 percent after the ordinance was lifted.”
Miranda Devine, who writes for the rival New York Post wasn’t having it and described that column as “peak gaslighting from the NYT today denying the invasion of illegal immigrants.”

The gullible readers of the nation’s “newspaper of record” may swallow the propaganda even as the number of migrants swells in the Big Apple which, according to Mayor Eric Adams, is in crisis mode due to the city’s inability to handle the new arrivals who are being housed in hotels, and they almost certainly won’t see stories about the horrific crimes perpetrated by illegal aliens in the pages of the New York Times.
