Pelosi says Biden belongs on Mt. Rushmore; Americans have questions

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi raised eyebrows when she suggested that Joe Biden was deserving of one of the highest honors possible after helping to topple him in a palace coup.

In an interview with veteran journalist Lesley Stahl that aired on this week’s edition of “CBS Sunday Morning,” the 84-year-old Democrat discussed a variety of issues while defending herself from accusations that she was the master manipulator behind the overthrow of the geriatric incumbent.

At one point during her chat with Stahl, the rambling and disheveled Pelosi suggested that Biden has been such an exalted leader, that his face should be carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore.

“He was in a good place to make whatever decision – the top of his game,” Pelosi said. “Such a consequential president of the United States, a Mount Rushmore kind of president of the United States.”

“Are you really saying that he belongs up there on Mount Rushmore? Lincoln and Joe Biden?” Stahl incredulously asked.

“Well, you got Teddy Roosevelt up there, and he’s wonderful,” the speaker emerita answered. “I don’t say take him down. But you can add Biden.”

Pelosi’s idea that the worst president in U.S. history belongs next to four of the most iconic ones drew a savage reaction from X users, many of whom wondered whether she was hitting the bottle before she sat down with Stahl.

Others seemed to be of the opinion that she was just delusional rather than drunk.

During the interview, Pelosi also vehemently denied that she orchestrated the overthrow of Biden and the undemocratic installation of her fellow Californian Kamala Harris.

Asked by Stahl to comment on reports that Biden was “furious” at her for whipping support against him, Pelosi again refused to answer, “He knows that I love him very much,” she responded.

“I understand that you don’t want to own this,” Stahl persisted. “But it was so well reported…that you were the leader of a pressure campaign…”

“No, I wasn’t the leader of any pressure [campaign],” Pelosi insisted. “Let me say things that I didn’t do. I didn’t call one person. I did not call one person. I could always say to him, I never called anybody.”

Drunk or delusional? You be the judge.
