Pete Buttigieg raked after nixing ‘He/Him’ pronoun ‘stupidity’ on X

Former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg seems to have made a change on his social media account that has left observant users asking questions.

Before and after screenshots of Buttigieg’s account on X show that the former South Bend, Indiana mayor appears to have removed pronouns that were previously featured on his bio.

Buttigieg’s bio on his personal page listed him as “Husband, father, veteran, writer” and showed his pronouns as “he/him.”

Currently, the Democrat’s page describes him as “Husband, dad, veteran, writer, and proud Midwesterner. 19th US Secretary of Transportation and former Mayor of South Bend.” There are no pronouns in sight.

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck suggested the former Obama administration official is looking to run for office and “pronoun stupidity” could get in the way of his appeal to voters.

“Even his ilk realizes that pronoun garbage is a loser in politics now,” Starbuck wrote on X, vowing that Buttigieg “can delete it from his page but we won’t let Pete erase history. We will remind voters of who he is.”

Buttigieg is reportedly taking a “serious look” at the Senate race in Michigan as Democrat Sen. Gary Peters announced he will be retiring. Growing up in Indiana, Buttigieg moved to Traverse City, Michigan in 2022.

Social media users agreed that Buttigieg may be trying to rebrand himself in order to run for office. They were quick to recall the real story behind the 43-year-old former naval officer married to husband Chasten Buttigieg.

Others on X offered their theories about the sudden disappearance of Buttigieg’s pronouns.
